Network Rail and its contractor, Murphy, have planted a hedgerow at the newly renovated Great Malvern railway station in an effort to boost biodiversity and support the environment. The team cleared an area of land at the end of platform 1 to make way for recently completed improvements to the Grade II listed station. As thousands of runners took to the streets for the Manchester Marathon earlier this month, Metrolink was able to record a new personal best for passengers served on a single day.
