This is part of the planning for the automated battery backup I have a thread going on. The inverter will do the automated switching, but I want to have a way to bypass the inverter and keep the circuits powered up. I am tight on space, so I am hoping to find something fairly compact. Could be rated as low as 50a 120v (inverter will be 120v and either 3kva or 5kva) Not interested in no-name imported junk on Amazon or Ali-x. Any suggestions ..read more

Air Compressor Gets Sluggish and Crawls to a Halt
The Garage » Lighting & Electrical

This air compressor gets sluggish and stops building pressure around 50 psi. If I let pressure out it will start again and chug along until it can’t spin anymore. While it is running in the early stages as it grows from 0 psi, you can hear in the video how in the motor it sounds like some type of clutch is clicking to activate but doesn't seem to completely engage, however, it is building pressure until it reaches about 50psi. Once it reaches 50psi, it crawls to a halt and stops spinning... Read more ..read more

I've had pretty good luck with Anker but my better half believes it's worth the $30 or so to buy the Samsung or in her case Google cable. What say you electronic gurus ..read more

Lucked into a Lifestyle 1800 treadmill for free today. I’ve already disassembled it entirely but wow is this thing simple! And the motor is physically larger than any I’ve seen before..the date code I believe is 1987. Ryobi for scale. Best part is, speed control is a potentiometer using the grey, blue, purple wires ..read more
