I’m honoured to have had the privilege to join LUST, LUSCOS and Leeds United Americas at Elland Road today to unveil plaques of our 1972 FA Cup Winner legends, commemorating us winning the cup in the centenary year of the competition. If I was like a kid in a sweet shop when I met them at the Hilton Hotel event last Friday, today I was even more so. Leeds United 72 Legends at the Hilton Hotel 6th May 2022
50 years ago to the day, I witnessed my favourite ever game at Wembley, seeing Leeds United win the FA Cup in the Centenary Year of the competition. When Clarke’s goal hit the back of the net in front of us where we were to the left of the tunnel, I was dancing and crying with my friends Sue Evans nee Isherwood and Janet Milner from Selby.
