This blog post will demonstrate how to use the Bastion Shareable Link feature* to connect to one of your Azure virtual machines (VMs) without using the Azure Portal.
* The Bastion Shareable Link feature is currently in public preview, so you should not use it to connect to any of your production VMs. Furthermore, during the preview, connecting to VMs in peer virtual networks (VNets) that are not deployed in the same subscription or region is not supported.
Like most of you will probably already know, Azure Bastion is an Azure PaaS service that you provision inside ..read more

These days you can not only run Windows Azure virtual machines (VMs) which are Domain Joined or run as a stand-alone (Non-Domain Joined) server in a workgroup, but also run Azure VMs which are Azure AD Joined.
When you are performing management tasks or when you are troubleshooting one of these VMs, it can be useful to know in what join state a specific VM (Device State) is running at this exact moment. In this blog post I show you how you can quickly find this out via the use of the Azure Portal.

In this blog post I will show you how you can use JIT in combination with a Point-to-Site (P2S) VPN to securely connect to your Azure virtual machines (VMs).
These days there are different ways you can use to securely connect to your Azure resources, one of those is through the use of a Point-to-Site (P2S) VPN connection. Such a P2S VPN connection allows you to securely connect to resources in a virtual network (VNet) or any of its peered VNets from a client device. This can be quite handy if you are working from home or from a customer’s site on your own or corporate Wind ..read more

This blog post will show how you can configure just-in-time (JIT) VM access and how you can use it in combination with Azure Bastion to securely connect to your Azure virtual machines (VMs).
Azure Bastion is an Azure PaaS service that you provision inside a virtual network (VNet), recommendable the HUB VNet. It allows you to securely connect to your Azure virtual machines (VMs) via RDP or SSH and this directly from the Azure portal over SSL. When you use Azure Bastion, your VMs do not need a Public IP Address (PIP), ag ..read more

This blog post shows how you can configure NSG Flow Logs for all network security groups (NSGs) in an Azure Subscription with the use of an Azure PowerShell script.
NSG flow logs is a feature of Network Watcher which enables you to capture information about IP traffic flowing in and out of NSGs. Afterwards you can use those logs to check for anomalies or to get more insight into suspected breaches.
If you want to read some more about NSG flow logs, you can do so via the following Microsoft Docs link: NSG flow logs documentation

Last week I was very honored and proud to be renewed by Microsoft, with the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award in the Microsoft Azure category for the third time.
Who are MVPs?
