Hello! Brand new science technician, started in my first school this week. My background is in molecular biology labs in industry so working in a school is a big jump in environment! I started as senior tech at my current school a few months ago and was given an outdated key to one of the labs (which is in a seperate building). I tried asking the building manager and HR (our H&S officer) for a new one to be cut, but was told it was too expensive as it isn't a normal key (~£50-60) and that I would have to share the only working key we have between us two technicians, or ask for one from the site team everytime I need it locked or unlocked. Hi guys So Year 10 wants to do a simple titration however the teacher think that because of what the class is like they will end up breaking the 25 ml glass pipettes (either due to their behaviour/not following instructions or because of clumsiness I think).
