Looking for opinions on possible maintenance for my 2016. I just bought it a few months ago, and everything is great except my RPMs flutter as it’s getting to temperature. I’ve also noticed when it does this that my headlights dim and brighten as my RPMs increase and decrease. Most times it will stop on its own but sometimes I have to shut the car off then turn it back on. Guys, i went to a junk yard and 2 times and and i tried everytime to remove the side marker from the headlight when it was on my hands not even attached to the car, and i said to myself let me try to install it back and see if i would even be able to put it back on my car, and for 10 minutes for each times i couldn’t get it back inside,did that happen to anyone here and does anyone know if their is a way to put those bulbs back in place submitted by /u/AboElRoom [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Last year my rear right brake caliper was seized but garage got it freed up. This week it seized up again, and now I’ve lost all braking as hydraulic fluid leak. Getting recovered tomorrow. Luckily very locally, so that part is cheap. New caliper required - any idea of price? It is a DSG Auto with electronic parking brake if that complicates matters? I own a Volkswagen Passat B7 1.4 TSi CAXA 2012 and the cars engine is making a strange sound when the ac is switched on. Its a bit of a twitching sound and the tone goes up and down with the rpms. Yesterday my accessoires belt broke. Had an oil leak previously behind the cranckshaft pulley and the belt probably had some oil and slipped off or broke due to dehydration. I changed the seal and the crankshaft hub. No more leak. But I see that the crankshaft pulley isn't really straight or at least that's what I think. Wanted to say hello to the group! Picked it up at the dealership yesterday. So far I’ve driven it for 130kms and it is fantastic to drive and sit in, very comfortable and feels great. The list of pros of the new Passat is quite long, however the car is very fussy and pings me whenever I exceed the allowed speed by 3-5 km/h. Maybe I’ll get used to it but now it’s quite annoying. What’s more it has the nerve to pop up a notification on the dashboard to take my foot off the gas. This cannot be turned off permanently due to EU regulations. Just picked up my first Volkswagen! 2013 2.5l Passat S. Nice little car to get the family around in, and I’m already falling in love with it. And I want to make sure that I can keep loving it for some time. When I got it, there was 170k on the motor, a bad brake master cylinder, and needs 2 brake rotors replaced. Other than a small bump in the rear bumper and a busted taillight lens, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it, as far as I can tell. I replaced the MC. Completely fixed the sinking pedal.
