I have a 2001 VW Passant wagon with the V6 cyl 8L engine. It has appx 160K miles on it and has been maintained pretty good along the way. No major problems except for regular wear parts (timing belt @ 100K). A couple of days ago, while on the road, got a ‘oil can’ symbol on the dash and a red ‘STOP ENGINE’ warning. I knew the oil had been checked the day before and was at the top - so went on home. Checked the dip stick and the oil was right at the top. Added a quart anyway and checked... Hello, we have a 2012 Passat that my son ran into a rock. Can you please look at the pictures and let me know if a complete new or reman transmission is the only way to repair this damage? Or can the transmission oil pan and the housing above the transmission oil pan be removed and replaced without dropping the entire transmission? Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Hi guys, just had my Passat B8 1.5 Tsi GT saloon serviced at my local JCT600 VW dealer. Upon opening the bonnet I noticed this pipe with a plastic fitting on it not connected to anything. Hi I was wondering if any one could give any advice. I have removed a fuse (Number 10) on Vw Passat 2013 2.0Tdi and reinstalled it and now there is no ignition lights or ignition. screen is completely blank.
