My new to me car 2021 mazdaCX30 has DAB the first time I've had a car with DAB. Now I know in my little town we cannot get DAB and with the advent internet radio I think any plans to upgrade our local transmitter, which itself is only a booster transmitter, have long been shelved. I brought a Majority Fitzwilliam3 and connected to my old cyrus amp via analogue output using RCA audio Jacks, which had been working fine with my DAB tuner and CD. Turning on the amp and selecting tuner produced a very loud consistent electronic hum/buzz (when unit both on and off) and no audio output, tho the screen was showing it tuned on both IR and DAB. Using A) headphones and B) a portable speaker through the 3.5 jack on front I got great results. Different amp, same thing. Hello I recently decided that I would like to be woken up by music again. Preferably with my own selected music. So I started looking for an MP3 alarm clock and came across the Ruark R1 MK4, which also has a radio, which wouldn't be necessary for me. However, you can also insert a USB-C stick into the Ruark, which contains the audio files. You can't then select the tracks, they are played randomly (shuffle). Hi all iv been thinking of getting a dab tuner. in a second hand shop near me they have 2 for sale one is a denon tu- 1800dab the other is a teac T-R650dab. The denon one will cost abit the the tea. Is the FM radio signal getting worse .... I have an outside aerial at the house but I've also noticed a change and worse inteference / dropouts in the car as well. I don't know if maybe it's just the radio station I listen to (Wave 105) rather than the whole of FM and I do have access to internet radio in some areas in the house so can use that but it's less convenient than just hitting 1 pretuned button on the remote. I have the following system: Arcam T32 tuner (FM and DAB) Arcam SA30 amplifier PMC 25 26i speakers The DAB part of the tuner is inconsistent in that it works sometimes but at other times I get no signal. I suspect that it’s the tuner at fault since I’m in a good reception area with an external roof aerial. I’ve also tried a portable aerial with similar results. I listen to classical music, mostly through BBC Radio 3 but also via ClassicFM. I have noticed on the ClassicFM site that they are upgrading their DAB to DAB+ from January.
