As the title says what would you say is the most reliable receiver that has telemetry for battery voltage?
I'm using a TX16S so make doesn't matter a whole lot. Current I'm using Flysky FS-IA6B with the voltage sensor which works out about £15 and even cheaper if it needs to be smaller the FS-IA6 (£7) but this doesn't have a telemetry sensor function.
After writing this and looking up the price I'm thinking 'how much cheaper can you go' but I'll still post the thread and see what you guys use ..read more

So, a post in another thread got me thinking about my understanding of HH flying aids like AS3X and SAFE. This is my understanding..... please note I do not use AS3X or SAFE apart from the following:
The club Apprentice trainer is equipped with AS3X and SAFE
My Blade Heli is equipped with AS3X and SAFE, but SAFE is set to 'Off' apart from Panic Recovery
My little XK110 heli has three stabilisation modes similar to SAFE and AS3X.
AS3X
This is a gyro system that counteracts model attitude changes which are not pilot induced, e.g. wind gusts. This does not limit t ..read more

Hi there
I was actively involved in the hobby back in the 80/90s, and I’m now looking to buy a radio set. Back then when I worked in a model shop it seemed much easier…we sold lots of Futaba Challangers, with the odd JR Max thrown in. I am slightly confused by the choice available now, and my instinct was to buy a Futaba set but on the face of it they don’t appear to be as popular as they once were. Brand loyalty is a difficult thing to shake off as it was always my go to choice.
My plan is to build a Maricardo (mid wing with a OS 48 FS), so really I just need a fairly basic (but ..read more

Hello there,

As a new member in this forum and wish to share and gain some knowledge. I am looking forward to create my own discussion to resolve my query and gain some knowledge though I have taken part in various discussion which is definitely helped me a ..read more

Hi radio questions here,
I'm using the spectrum dxs transmitter with the AR410 receiver, I've been successful with the binding of them and have managed to reverse the channels so all correct from throttle too rudder.
However when I turn the transmitter off and then turned it on again it beebs and shows red lights flashing and will not operate the receiver, so l turned off then disconnected the battery from receiver and went through the binding process again, all good fully functional again. So does it mean every time I turn the transmitter off after a flight I have to repeat t ..read more

A friend has given me a box full of RC items which he found during a house clearance. The box contained a number of Fleet Control Systems items. I tried to look up Fleet Control Systems, but they seem to have gone bust around 10 years ago, so I wonder if anyone here can help me.
Firstly there were 6 servos labelled 'DIGIFLEET FPS-17 INDIRECT DRIVE' They look pretty heavy duty measuring 40 x 35 x 18mm. They all have the red +ve lead on one end of the attached plug whereas today the red lead is in the centre of course. I changed all the red and black leads over, plugged the servos into a receive ..read more
