I have a computer that is unusable with the current software due to a DAX driver error. This has persisted for a few years. I opened a support ticket when this first occurred. But none of the proposed solutions solved the problem. I recently was scanning the Flex Community pages when I happened upon a solution that one member discovered. I didn't have time that day to perform what had to be done. But this morning I did what was proposed and it worked. It was to : Uninstall Dell Support Assist. Reinstall Flex SSDR. my thanks to whoever made that suggestion, I couldn't find the page again. I hop ..read more

Hi,
I have a Flex 6600m and I am connecting to a COX mesh network wifi. The Lan works well with the 6600m, the PGXL and the Tuner Genious XL.
The problem is getting the front panel of the 6600m to get the corectly assigned IP address.
The port forwad address in the router is 192.168.0.230. This is the IP address of the front panel. I want the IP address set to 192.168.0.230 for the Radio. I try to change the IP address in the radio and it will not take the .230 I have the advanced network settings set to .230
I have the portforwarding set in the cox wifi and it has picked the address 192.168.0 ..read more

Running SmartSDR 3.1.7 and my radio transmit profiles are not being saved.
I have an amplifier that requires specific TX profile settings, which I have configured three different times now. Each time I configure it, everything works perfectly. And I save those profiles as both Global profile and each time use Create transmit profile and the new TX profile shows up. It also shows up in the Radio configuration dialog (pulldown menu), where I can select it.
Then, I power the radio off and back on. All TX profiles are now gone and everything is back to Default TX profile.
What am I doing w ..read more

I couldn't find this in the manual, so maybe someone can give me a hint: in a few days I have to go in hospital and would like to use my Flexradio there as a remotestation. I would use the CWX module to send CW. I discovered the CW Macros of CWX, but up to now I can't send the macros… What settings do I have to use to send the macros? I can send CW via te CWX screen….
Thanks in advance, Dirk de HB9GPN ..read more

When I boot my Flex 6400M, it will stop on the SmartLink screen. The radio does log into my registered account, but I have to manually select Operate, and then it will go to the Version screen. I do have version v3.7.4 download, but I have to manually select that version to run.
I didn't have this issue before - can you please tell me how to have the radio automatically run v3.7.4 without human intervention when powered on?
I don't see any mention of this in the Flex 6400M User Guide (around page 44 ..read more

Assuming the same antenna setup, does the Antenna Genius provide better antenna isolation than a Flex 6600M? The Antenna Genius documentation indicates that it provides a minimum of 70dB isolation between ports. The 6600 documentation doesn't provide a specific number.
I currently have 3 antennas connected to my Flex 6600M at my QTH:
ANT1 - EFHW
ANT2 - Vertical dipole
RXA - Loop on Ground
It performs well as-is, but I am about to add in a TGXL and PGXL. As far as connections go, I don't "need" an Antenna Genius, but if it provides better antenna isolation it might be worth it ..read more
