Mapping file for DJ2GO controller
FlexRadio Community

I've just bought a DJ2GO to use as an external controller. SmartSDR for Mac comes with a mapping file, but it's not for the DJ2GO. I know I could just go through and set it up as I want it; but I'm not sure how I want it. So, I was wondering if anybody out there has a mapping file they could share to give me a starting point. When I try to upgrade from 4.1.7 to 4.1.8 I get an error 'Could not connect to bootloader'. Did I miss a step? Is there a link to the 4.1.7 software somewhere? That way I could at least get back on the air. Thanks ..read more

Tuner Genius Tuning unexpectedly changes

Hi, I just received my new Antenna Genius and I’m having a problem with it. My setup is a 6600M with a Power Genius, a Tuner Genius and now, an Antenna Genius. The 6600m is configured with slice A being connected to Ant 1 and slice B to Ant 2. This never changes. The connection between the 6600m and the amp is radio antenna 1 to amp input A and radio antenna 2 to amp input 2. The amp connects to the tuner and the tuner to the antenna switch the same way. That is #1 to A and #2 to B etc.. The output of the antenna switch goes to 8 antennas. Everything is LAN connected and, as far as I can tell ..read more

N1MM and StreamDeck

StreamDeck is very popular in the Flex world, and I thought it would be even more powerful if integrated with N1MM. While using SmartSDR and N1MM on the same computer it can happen that you are focusing the radio software instead of N1MM because you are tuning the radio or adjusting filters and controls. I'm aware of the autofocus SmartSDR function, but in this scenario, sending an F-key message can take some time and you have to move the focus back and forth between the radio software and N1MM. I thought that having a physical device to send F-Message (and commands) would have been a great h ..read more

Battery: https://www.ebay.com/itm/256345548625 Charger: https://www.ebay.com/itm/186334832539 The battery has the identical RRC part number and comes in an RRC box, though it is a BREAS battery. I suspect RRC may have contracted out to BREAS. Identical specs on the batter, fits, works. The Charger is a RRC charger. Battery: $100.00 Charger: $62.00 ..read more

My HaliKey CW Experience

Hello All SmartSDR for Mac CW users, I just wanted to express my positive experience with the new HaliKey device that enables you to connect your paddles directly to a MacBook and operate CW. The HaliKey is an adapter that has a 3.5mm socket on one side, and USB-C on the other, with an FTDI serial chip in the middle. Tip connects to CTS, Ring connects to DCD, Sleeve connects to ground. And it works great! I have been testing it by making many QSOs this week and not a single dropped dit or dah, or any timing issues. And I am operating remote over SmartLink. I can't recommend it enough. It is su ..read more
