Subwoofer with Chorus II system

I am looking for some advice for the Chorus II system. I am looking for a subwoofer for the low frequency effects for movies and the very bottom range for music. I am looking for a few different types of responses. Types of responses: 1. Inexpensive but will give me a base response for movies (remember the Chorus II has 15" woofer and 15" passive) 2. Home Theater and music sub that I will be completely happy with buying (either new or used) 3. The build-it at home to get the job done right option. I am looking though the forum for recommendations to others, but everyone is always up for a sub ..read more

A different HT/2 channel setup

I thought I would share a bit of my HT/2 channel meanderings.  Feel free to judge and comment, this is simply meant to offer some different ideas.  In general I’ve run everything over the years from simple 2 channel to 7.2 HT via Denon AVRs. I’ve used the Denon AVRs also as preamp and various amplifiers to run front L/R in HT mode and the 2 channel. Things were going well.  But one can never be finished in this hobby!   I won’t dwell on my speaker journey, I’ve owned Klipsch Heresy, changed them and still have a set, owned and enjoyed an RC-7, Cambridge Audio Aero, Martin L ..read more

Klipsch Cinema 800 Sound Issues.

Hello all, I have a Klipsch Cinema 800 for a few weeks now. I am using the ARC from an older Samsung JS8500 LED TV. My issue is the sound is not clear. It has a slight muffled and compressed sound to it. I checked my firmware levels and they are current to the ones on the Klipsch webpage. I have tried the various presets (Standard, Direct, Movie, Music, etc.) I cannot find one that mids and highs sound better than my $75 bluetooth speaker. I am nearing my return window and I need to decide on how to remedy this. I have read reviews and comments on the great sound quality so I want to get mine ..read more

Dear community, I'm currently upgrading my surround sound system and have some speare Klipsch LS. Recently I added the RP 160 speakers because I wasn't happy with the 250S speakers. At the moment I'm using 5.1.2 without side surround speakers and it's already a decent sound. Wondering what you guys would do with them and how you would set up my living room. I drew my current plan to show the situation. The 250s are in the position I used before my upgrade. Today I got four 500SA height speakers that I would simply put in line with the front and back speakers. 30° elevation angle. Denon AV ..read more

Upgrade for my R-52c Center Channel

Hi there,  I would like to upgrade my R-52C center but my choices are limited by placement on my fireplace mantel (which is about 8.5" wide).  I am looking at the RP-404C II but I'm not sure if that would be an actual upgrade or not.  I am currently running a 5.1.2 Atmos system controlled by a Yamaha Aventage RX-A850. My mains are the RP-600M's (original 600's).  Any suggestions or recommendations?  Thanks in advance for any advise!   Scott ..read more
