Hello, Quick question for the historians… Any idea what model year F-type actually started to ship to the United states? I have seen 2012 and 2013 right hand drives advertised in the UK and elsewhere. I am guessing the 2012’s are typos but maybe the 2013’s are real. I have not seen any 2013’s for sale in the US. Websites I have found said production started in 2013 so I am assuming that was for the 2014 model year at least how we count it here in the US. It is used on F type, but I’m not able to find a paint code that the paint store recognizes. I have a 2018 F-Type 400 Sport and check engine light has been coming on. Went to dealer and he replaced the diaphragm in the PCV. Cleared the code and check engine light came on after 6 starts and 75km. Error code P2187-00 and P2189-00 (system too lean at idle banks 1 & 2). First thanks to Gunnar for helping me with the information needed. I took the message/letter to my dealership. They played stupid to start with but then realized this was from Jaguar North America. Results; I will be issued a refund for the 02 sensor I purchased a year ago. Light is on again and is another sensor. Appointment scheduled. Anyone who decides to buy one of these beast I congratulate you! But I must also tell you the importance of buying an OBD Scanner as well. F-Types can be finicky and I’ve had my share of scares but once I purchased my scanner it made it easier to determine the importance of a check engine alarm. Doesn’t have to be an expensive one but one that will put your mind at ease when that dreaded light shows itself. I bought an F-Type P300 in Belgium with only 2.000 Km. Unfortunatly to boy from the car wash had an accident delivering the car to me. Now the insurance find outt the car had another accdent in Belgium at 1000 Km and claims that I have increased the kilometres to collect the insurance compensation!!! Is there any way to verify in all ECUs that they have not been tampered with and that the mileage is real? Also, do you know which ECUs record mileage?
