This feels unusual to me - the valves being closed shouldn't overly affect the ability of the car to rev except at the top of the rev range? Bear in mind they are shut in comfort mode below 4k revs and my car certainly doesn't struggle below there in comfort to pile on the revs. Above that I've no experience of course so can imagine the back pressure might start to hinder, but not to a huge extent? Hi all I’ve had a creaking drivers door that has got progressively worse over the last few weeks. Today it was really loud. I’ve oiled the hinges and the check strap pin and put a smear of grease on the check strap but all to no avail. Anybody come across this before and know the solution?
