An exceedingly rare Mint/Mint, and probably unplayed, 1962 stereo first pressing of Bob Dylan’s self-titled debut album, with the earliest ‘6-Eye’ labels, thick cardboard cover, and fully intact shrink wrap with price sticker. Columbia Records changed their labels to a solid red design a month or so after the release of Dylan’s debut album, making the first black/red ‘6-Eye’ pressings extremely desirable. Dylan was a virtual unknown when this album was released and it sold very poorly. Stereo records were just being introduced at this time, selling primarily to the audiophile market–and costi ..read more

A beautiful 1959 mono first pressing of Miles Davis’s masterpiece Kind of Blue, the best selling jazz album of all time–for good reason, with an all-star band featuring John Coltrane, Bill Evans, Wynton Kelly, Paul Chambers and Jimmy Cobb. The very lightly played deep groove 6-Eye label disc is in Near Mint/Near Mint to EX+ condition.  The album plays beautifully, with Mint to Near Mint audio.  Stamper numbers are 1 AL/1 AE. The correct thick cardboard cover is in EX condition, and incorrectly lists “Flamenco Sketches” as the fourth track and “All Blues” as the last track, however ..read more

An extremely rare autographed Bob Dylan concert program from his first ever UK performance, at the Royal Festival Hall, London on May 17, 1964.  Dylan has hastily signed his photograph on the front cover, almost certainly just after the show ended (see below.) The 8 page program includes an ad for his second album, The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan, which had just entered the UK charts. There is also a “programme” listing songs (“Bob Dylan will introduce his own programme and will select much of it from-“), a reprint of an article by San Francisco critic Ralph J. Gleason, and Dylan’s essay “My ..read more

A Near Mint 1961 first pressing of Robert Johnson’s King of the Delta Blues Singers, on Columbia Records with the earliest ‘6-eye” labels, and a Demonstration: Not For Sale stamp on the back. This album, compiled by producer Frank Driggs, was famously given by producer John Hammond to Bob Dylan, who it influenced deeply–as it did Keith Richards, and many more musicians of the 60’s. The disc, with the first 6-eye labels, is in Near Mint condition and looks as if it’s been played once or twice at most.  The correct heavyweight first pressing cover is in Excellent condition, and has a Demon ..read more

A stunning UK 1st pressing stereo copy of the Small Faces’ psychedelic masterpiece Ogden’s Nut Gone Flake, on Immediate Records (with the earliest lilac labels.) Both disc and the fragile fold-open cover on this copy are in full Mint condition, with no wear at all. We acquired this from someone who visited London in 1968 and bought this because of the unique cover design.  It looks like they played it once or at most twice, and then carefully stored it away for more than fifty years. By far the cleanest example we’ve offered of this essential 60s album ..read more

A beautiful UK first pressing of The Deviants album Disposable, on Stable Records. The disc grades Near Mint and we’d guess has been played no more than four or five times.  The laminated gatefold cover grades EX, largely because of some lamination lifting to the lower left edge.  A very clean copy of a very rare album ..read more
