Being as we seem to have a few members who either live in the Bay Area, near the Bay Area, or regularly visit the Bay Area, I was wondering about the level of of interest in organizing a one-day Bay Area Fun Run.   There are some really sweet back roads with minimal traffic I regularly visit and I suspect others have their cool little secret roads too.   We could meet in the morning, and enjoy a day of spirited driving with stops for lunch and dinner.   I suspect a one day drive with a few cars would be easy to organize - certainly easier than a weekend event with hote ..read more

So I have, for a number of years, posted how much I drive in the previous calendar year. Now that I have retired it is a bit less than other years. However, I still managed to crack 90,000 km in 2023.   2022 Ford Escape Hybrid - 35,249 km 2022 Ford Mach E - 57,733 km Total - 92,982 km.   Should be less next year as 2024 will be a full year into retirement.    Maybe I need a different car!!!  That blue one in my picture looks nice (I have nothing against grey, Jay ..read more

I am in a position where I need to sell my '94 coupe. The car is in *good* condition so I think I can put a pretty good starting price on it, however it has two options that might affect the value:   M030 sport package - I read the post about how M030 devalues that car and I respectfully disagree (having owned both versions). Does anyone know where I can buy a cab “half cover“ which I heard was available at one point, designed to go over the open top of the car when you parked it and just wanted something simpler and quicker than putting up the soft top itself ?  I’m looking to do that with my coupe when it’s in Targa mode and I don’t feel like removing the hard top and putting it back on every time I park somewhere ..  I can probably buy a generic half cover , but the 968 one should fit very well, so checking out that first.. Although I do not have a 968, I do continue to read all the posts on Forums each day and enjoy following the fun and trials of those who do have one.  Merry Christmas from Nova Scotia and here's hoping that the cars continue to be a source of enjoyment, that they never break down or wear out, and that they increase in value by a factor of at least 3 in 2023.   Live long and prosper ..read more
