“Cascadia, you’re breaking my heart, you’re shaking my confidence daily.” Yep, another review and another song stuck in my head (it’s Cecilia by Madness if you’re wondering.) Why do I feel the need to keep mentioning these? Well in the hope that they leave my head and transfer onto the next poor soul who hears it, much like the video in The Ring ..read more

Corps of Discovery Board Game Preview - More info here
Mind MGMT is a fantastic game. One of my favourites from 2023 in fact. It was published by Off the Page Games who specialise in developing ideas inspired by graphic novels. Bringing the ideas off the page, into games. Get it? Their second game Harrow County: The Game of Gothic Conflict recently fulfilled after a successful Kickstarter, and is gaining favourable reviews. The third game from these fans of comic/game fusions is Corps of Discovery. A game based on the Manifest Destiny comics. It has the same look and feel as the comics, as is ..read more

'Yōkai' is a universal word used in Japanese culture to describe a class of supernatural entities or spirits seen in various forms of entertainment folklore. In this game, your job is to visit the forest and calmly watch the Yokai so that you can sketch them better than your friend. This doesn't exactly come across in the game, but what does come across is a very chilled and relaxed experience, in what is actual ..read more

I am a huge fan of clever little card games. I enjoy surfing, although I am not very good at it, but the vibe suits me just right! And I am always excited about anything portable to play with my friends and family in a cooperative way when out and about. Wave ticks all these boxes, but is it any good? Let's get it to the table and find out.

At this point you’ll probably expect me to make some sort of stupid joke where I pretend to mix up two of the most popular space franchises because they’ve both got the word star in their title just for the cheap laughs. Well do you know what? I’m not gonna do it. Over the last couple of years of reviewing I think I’ve grown up ..read more

Vaalbara is, according to the rulebook, an as yet undiscovered continent and not the nickname of the local pub landlady who has a penchant for banning the locals (Val barrer?No...? Fine I’ll get on with the review)
