So I went to my lfs intending to just get a couple more female Honey Sunset Gourami (T. chuna) to add to a female pair of Honey Sunsets I already have at home in my 40 gallon breeder, as I've found Honeys love socializing together in groups and it's cute to see them interacting together. I've also kept wild colored female T. chuna in the past, but like the more brightly colored Sunsets better.
Anyway, when I went to the pet store I saw these adorable fish labeled as simply "Honey Gourami"...

Hi all.
Hope you are well
My pearl gourami is hovering around the surface gasping and has some marks on her body. Do you think this may be ick or maybe bacteria or some sort? Managed to get quite a good photo of her. Thank you in advance for any help ..read more

Hello Tropical Fish Forums! Long time hobbyist but always learning! So, I have 3 female pearl gouramis in a relatively heavily planted 75 gal community tank. I had a male with them but he died a few months ago. Everything seemed fine until recently. Nearly every time I approach the tank, if they are out, one or all of them freak out, often times smashing about the tank. Afterwards they will hide in the plants or behind the scape or equipment until they calm down. They seem to only act normal...

There is a small pink wart on the body of my dwarf gourami. I did a little research on it but I don’t think it’s lymphocystis because the wart isn’t on the fin and isn’t white either. Should I do something about it? Here is a photo of my gourami ..read more

So, recently I've been considering getting Parosphromenus sp. or Bettas (splendens OR wild-type) for my 25L. However, the option of sparkling gourami have been somewhat of a mystery to me--while some sources say that they have a breeding pair who's been thriving in their 2.5 gallon (apparently so heavily planted that it can take up to 20 minutes to find both fish), others insist that these are highly social fish who do better in groups of 4-6 minimum in a 20gal. Is it a good idea to keep a...

When I went back a few moment later she was floating at the top, I thought I should take her out but she is alive and moving her 2 long appendages but is floating sideways/ upside down. I think she looks a bit bloated.
This is my husbands tank. He did a water change on Sunday and all parameter were correct when he checked yesterday. He is...

Hi,
I thought maybe my dwarf gourami needed a friend as all his tank mates have at least pairs of the same species if not more and he is solo. It all happened by accident as I went to the aquatic shop solely to buy plants and came away with a dwarf gourami and a koi female fighter.
I'd read previously that you can have more than one gourami in your tank and they'll be alright once they've established their territory. The older gourami won't leave the other one alone and even chases the koi...
