22 years ago, I wrote a poem entitled “Welcome to the Congo.” It’s on my album “Signs of the Time.” I wrote it while in Congo working in refugee camps due to the war in Congo at the time. 22 years later, I am performing this poem once again and have only removed the names of certain people no relevant to the current crisis in Congo.
