There is paperwork hell and between the 5 pages for command and the 5512 - there is just lots of confusion. for me - we have made it past the pages for command, but this 5512 is turning into a CF. so i am wanting to ask: Do we need to get 5512 from sailor or can we DL from SECNAV and complete, sending to sailor? My son's navy contract ends in 9 months. He will, most likely, be deployed at that time. What happens? Will the Navy fly him home or will he remain on board until his vessel returns to port? Also, will he still have to report to his station or does his work end when his contract expires? Personally, I believe he has to perform his duties until the vessel returns to port. I know from this forum that some of us are going to get to spend time with our Sailors over this 2022 Holiday season.
