I have the original BB8 Star Wars app enabled droid on my Apple 12 phone and it still works great. I want to give BB8 to my grandson but the Application is no longer on the Apple store. Any suggestion how I can get the App for my grandsons Apple phone? Or is it possible to move the application from my apple phone to his apple phone? My 8 year old daughter just purchased the BB-8 droid Get home plug it in to charge and guess what there is no app for her to use it with! Bought BB-8 years ago but never used it. Opened it recently, put it on the base, it first flashed red, then flashed white. The blue charging light flashes, then after about 3 hours stays solid indicating the doid is fully charged. I’ve taken it off base and it rolls around freely. I downloaded the edu app, the first time it connected to the BB-8 but then immidiately disconnected with a message saying battery low and to charge more before trying to connect. Left the BB-8 unit charging to full charge but now the app no longer finds the device. How can I get the app to find the BB-8 Unit? Thanks ..read more

A MAC address is a 6 byte code usually written as 12 hexadecimal characters like: DF-79-DD-9C-B6-1D or DF:79:DD:9C:B6:1D. All network devices have a unique MAC address. On the bottom of the original BB-8 box is a barcode sticker. Directly under the barcode is what looks like a MAC address. In the BB-8 app, if you go to Settings, Customer Support, it lists the MAC address of the connected BB-8. Can someone confirm for me that the MAC address of their BB-8 as shown in the app matches what looks like a MAC address on the bottom of the box it came in? Sphero does not recommend replacement of this battery. It can be dangerous. But for the technical folks who have skills and take caution, there is a guide on YouTube. No need to buy another one.
