For the last 18 years I’ve tried to find a scale model of a Chrysler Crossfire that isn’t a cheap knockoff. My wife drives a beautiful 2006 Crossfire, but I wanted to replicate hers, so I could then mount it on her cars dashboard for giggles.
I finally found one that wasn’t a crappy (you know the word) knockoff. Thankfully, a few weeks ago while perusing EBay, I found a 2003 “Testers” metal model kit.
However the color is wrong. My wife’s car is blue, and the model is silver. But because the...

Does anyone know where I can get quality, California Exempt (police) license plate decals in 1/43rd scale? I’m finding a trend of peel-n-stick license plates are included with the main decal sheet for the vehicle. One problem I have found with these is that the ink will flake off the peel-n-stick license plates.

An older 1/24 scale Maisto 1965 Chevrolet Malibu SS that was taken from storage to see what upgrades it might need. Realized that the only thing it needed was a painted engine on the chassis underside. Carpet was added previously to the trunk and other minor detailing had been done. Really like the interior with the dash mounted tach, the floor mats, the heavy duty gear shifter and the beefy rear slicks!

This 1/24 scale diecast 1966 Dodge Charger by Classic Metal Works (2001) was bought in kit form about two decades ago. I recently got it out of storage to see what modifications I might do to it, if need be.
During my inspection what really struck me as curious are two things:
1) did Classic Metal Works produce this mold themselves or was the mold from another company, such as Ertl Authentics?
2) but the most perplexing and amusing as well is what was embossed on the chassis...

Four 1/25 scale Maisto 1950 Chevy 3100 pickup trucks. The two red ones, one stock and the other with white walls, are older versions with movable front wheels; whereas the current newer orange version has straight metal axles and was lowered as much as humanly possible (all wheels roll with nothing scraping the ground). The yellow lifted version is older, too, with straight metal axles also. Lowering the orange version took a great amount of effort and force to achieve and I would not want...

Does anyone know where I can get a 1/64 scale NYPD McDermott High Riser roof light? I’ve tried 20KM Diecast in Hong Kong who makes a nice one, but the site says they’ve sold out. I finally got them to reply to my email request asking how many I needed. I replied, but have yet to hear anything else from them. I have messaged and emailed them about four times with no replies. I believe they might other than what they claim.

I'm wondering if you guys can help me out. I came up on this on the web because I'm looking for wheels and tires for vintage cars. It seems all I find is 1:64 or 1:18 scale. I like to modify diecast vehicles to make them look better and more authentic. Often times the manufacturers go cheap on the wheels and tires. I have a collection of old vintage cars that need tall skinny wheels and tires around 22mm in diameter. Let me know if you know where I can get them.
Thanks in advance for your help ..read more
