Hi there I am quite new to Apple gadgets. I got this old iPad with software version 12.5.7. (16H81). The software is up-to-date. I noticed that with common websites I regularly visit like Huffpost, Newsweek and theguardian, all dotcom and spiegel[Dot]de, for some reason if they do not keep automatically reloading every few seconds, sometimes showing there is a page error, these sites have reader comments sections, which all fail to load. I'm using a iPad, gen 4, IOS 10.3.3, and I'm running into the captive portal problem on public WiFi's (e.g. when using McDonald's WiFi).    I've tried the captive.apple.com trick and it's returns 'success', but the WiFi portal page remains blank.  Years ago when this used to occasionally happen on my android device, I simply put in the URL of the WiFi host company, (e.g.  McDonalds.ca), and that would resolve access to the protal page but that's not working at this point.
