my problem seems similar to the other dozen 'won't start' threads, but I've tried most of the recommendations that apply to my situation:
i drove my bike to work monday morning (about 20 miles) and it ran fine. i went to leave that afternoon it wouldn't start.
the 1st time i tried it it sounded like a short (it rained heavily here) so i disconnected the battery and found some exposed wire on the power commander, i cleaned this up and cleaned the crud off the terminals and hooked it back...

Hi. This is my first post. Glad to be here. I want to replace the springs in my clutch basket for my Cbr1000rr 2011. I want to order the springs before I disassemble the clutch basket. I am hoping there is someone who has done this. Or might have a link to where I can get the six springs ..read more

I'm having a problem with a 954 that I just bought in California. The dealership that I bought it from, Salinas Cycle Center, sent me a video saying the bike that I was going to buy was running excellent and that the slight white smoke coming out of the exhaust was just condensation. I bought the bike sight unseen because I trusted the sales manager who had sent the video. Turns out the white smoke is heavy gas vapor from #1 & 4. They're getting fuel but no spark. Fast forward 2 weeks and I...

So, it’s been a hot minute since we last spoke.
This about sums it up.
Long story very short:
I’m getting a bit better at actually recording/posting content – my various social/forum channels are active, and are all gradually being brought up to date
My new website is up – it’s still a work in progress, but hopefully works better than the last one
My project list has grown a bit – going forward, I’ll...

So I was racing one night with a turboed busa while simultaneously making a super stupid rookie mistake and didn't check my oil in like a week (got too comfortable ). When out of nowhere at like 178 BOOM...fireball underneath me and immediate loss of power! Don't forget I've only been riding on 2 wheels for like 5 months at this point. Never had family with bikes or friends with bikes...never was taught anything about bikes...all me all independent all by myself. I'm not a mechanic but I am...

So, my first post here i guess.
I have a CBR929 with an aftermarket system or a slip-on i don't know actually, that looks like this --->
So my plan is to mount another full system that does not have the HTEV valve.
I know for sure that it fits the bike but i'm not sure how it'll work with the exhaust valve..
Can i just install the new system and skip the HTEV completly? Just disassemble it and throw it away?
The bike already...
