I like what Honda has done with the NT1100. A sport tourer with what you need - wind protection, cruise control, ABS, heated grips, center stand, storage capacity, 100HP, etc. But not what you don't need - keyless ignition, electronic suspension, 6 axis IMU, lean sensitive ABS, etc. It's likely not as playful as the Kawasaki 1000SX, BMW R1250RS, or Suzuki GSX-S1000GT, but then not as pricey and more comfortable.
