It's been awhile since I posted anything here. I've been pretty busy lately and as I've said I won't be able to post a lot on this blog until I see my traffic numbers go up a bit. This post is not just about these 1946 no mint mark wheat back pennies. This is also an update about the future of this blog. As I work on this blog I am running into two problems. One big issue is that I'm running out of pennies to post. The other is that this blog is getting almost no traction and very little traffic.   This is q very interesting find for me. As I lined up these 1942 no mint mark pennies to take an image I noticed that one of them was a 1948. I started to look for another 1942 example. I ended up taking the pic just to be sure. Once I was done I determined there was dirt on the date but I'm still not sure. This might be an error penny. Sometimes the double strike mint errors on these pennies can be really hard to see. This is especially hard when these coins get circulated.   Here are four 1952-D mint mark wheat back pennies that have been sitting in my big plastic jug of pennies. I am getting so close to the bottom I can see through it. I don't know what I'm going to do when I run out of wheat pennies. I guess I will have to be satisfied with posting on this blog once a week.   Here are four 1951-D mint mark wheat back pennies I took out of my change jar. They are not in the best of condition and I don't think any of them are winning a beauty contest for coins. They were all found from searching through bank rolls I received from one of my local credit unions. It's pretty much expected that these are the types of coins you will find when you start coin hunting as a hobby.   It looks like this old coin blog is finally getting some attention. We have been added to Feedspots Top Coin Blogs Category. This website is what you might call a blog feed aggregater. I'm not 100% on how it works, I know some of these sites pull rss feeds from your posts and update them for their readers. Others just add you to a specific category.   I just got back home today from doing some errands. I decided I would show off some more WWII era wheat back pennies from 1944. These are just circulated copper pennies so not really much to talk about here. I ate out at taco bell today and I signed up for the rewards program. You know, it's a pretty good deal but the way it's set up makes you eat q whole lot more food to get the free tacos.   Here are four 1956-D mint mark wheat back pennies I have pulled out of my collection. They are all regular looking wheat cents with the usual amount of wear for their age. The 1956 penny is extremely common regardless of its mint mark. Of course the S mint version is the rarest but will still be worth about the same amount as this one to collectors. No reason you shouldn't hang onto it though. It's still worth more than a Lincoln Memorial penny ..read more
