After 10 group shows over the past 4 years, I felt more than ready to hold my First Solo Exhibition. Embarking on my Master of Fine Arts degree, we were to plan a major creative project alongside our written thesis. Even though only 1 piece of artwork was needed, I saw this as my opportunity to do something big. I recently spent 2 weeks in New Zealand's MIQ - managed isolation facility - and decided to write a blog post & make a YouTube video to show you what it's like, how I spent my time, and of course what the food was like!. Essentially MIQ is a 2-week stay in a hotel (…but you end up going a bit crazy), so one of my entertainment tactics was making this blog post & video, along with art/yoga/snacks/and staring into space. Recently I was flown from Canada to New York by Domestika to film an online course. It was an incredible experience! Thank you to Domestika and their whole team.
