On April 24, 2024, the second testimony for Senate Bill 196: Global Signature Authority took place in the Senate Health Committee. SB 196, if passed into law, will allow APRNs throughout the state of Ohio to sign important patient documents that are within the APRN’s scope of practice. Dr. Duffy is currently a professor in the Florence Cellar Chair of Gerontological Nursing as well as the Associate Director of the University Center on Aging and Health. SB 196, Global Signature Authority, was introduced on the Ohio Senate Floor by Senator Roegner on February 28, 2024.
