The Star is a forced-proximity, enemies-to-lovers, stepbrother/stepsister (taboo) romance. The story centers around Carson and Logan who meet after their parents (both widows) decide to get married and everyone moves in together. Carson comes from obscene wealth and Logan is from the other side of the tracks. She’s called white trash more than once. When they meet for the first time, Carson is set on torturing her - he has no interest in getting along and hopes she’ll leave. However, he soon feels this extremely intense sexual pull to her, and he doesn’t hold his intensions back. Logan tries ..read more

When my oldest child, John was born, it was a traumatic experience. He was in distress, I ended up with an emergency c-section, but all turned out ok in the end. Here is my motherhood journey… Round 2 of Motherhood In an effort to not require an emergency c-section with my next pregnancy, my OB put me on medication (a beta-blocker) to help control my blood pressure so I would be able to tolerate the stress of delivery better. Despite the intentionality of the medication, it didn’t work how it was supposed to, and instead resulted in a mother and infant in distress upon delivery.  The medi ..read more

In 2018, my family and I ventured to Esperanza in Los Cabos, Mexico and I discovered hibiscus margaritas. It was one of the best trips of my life. A 5-star resort, the beach, warmth, and sunshine, what more could a girl ask for? Well, let me tell you, I discovered Baja shrimp tacos and hibiscus margaritas. I loved the margaritas so much that I asked for the recipe, and adapted it a bit to make it lower calorie. It’s still just as delicious and refreshing, but now the only calories in the drink come from tequila.  The details of the hibiscus margaritas To start making a hibiscus marga ..read more
