Any day at the range is better than almost any other day. Found a nice load for the 308Win. 47.1, 47.2, and 47.3 grains of CFE223 sent a 150 grain BT down range at 2822, 2837, and 2824. Think I’ll settle on 47.2. Ran some 55 grain BTs over 24 grains of H335 in FC cases down range at 100 yards for a .75 inch group. Same load in mixed cases opened to about 1.25”. 1992 Browning BPS 12 gauge, 2 3/4”, 3”, 3 1/2 shells, customer recently picked it up and wanted it cleaned, checked over and a Buttpad ground to fit, he brought in a medium Limbsaver. Disassembled and found the Magazine Tube Spring was dry and rusted. Not sure if the synthetic Stock and Forend are original to this shotgun, but I THINK they are Browning products. Centurion 98 Sporter in Gods Rifle Caliber, stamped CENTURION 98 SPORTER CIA ST. ALB. VT. on the Barrel. Century Arms made/modified/imported multiple military rifles back in the 1960’s-1970’s into hunting rifles. IMO the quality is hit or miss. I own a Browning B80 that is about 35 years old. It shoots 2 3/4" shells. I just recently found out that, with the right barrel, it can shoot 3" shells. I then found a barrel for 3", but it was not threaded for chokes. Does anyone know if there are 3" threaded barrels available for the B80? Also, the barrel must be able to shoot steel shot.
