I'm trying to gift some VP to my younger brother who's in South Asia but I'm in Hong Kong. I looked up an earlier thread in this sub but it didn't sufficiently answer my question. Appreciate it, thanks~ submitted by /u/throwaway060902 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Quick question on economy

Hi, a lot of times recently I came across these two choices : - buy a vandal or phantom with low shield and not all my abilities, and if I die I’ll have the money to do so again next round. - buy vandal or phantom with full shield and full ability, but next round is a save if I die. I never really know what’s the best plan, but I often go with the first choice bc having a powerful rifle seems more important to me. So the question is, what would you choose and why ? Fear of talking in VC

I'm a 14-year-old boy who plays valorant. My rank is currently Gold 3 and I have never spoken in vc ever. I feel shy to give comms. My question is: Is it okay to feel like this? How do I gain confidence to comm using vc? I realise valorant is a team game and communication is key to winning a game. But I just can't use the vc. I usually just ping or type in the team chat. submitted by /u/FeeEco [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Confusion with the CT callout

I see this used a lot and know it’s a counter strike thing that refers to the defenders spawn area. However!! It seems that every time I experience it as a callout in game it always ends up referring to wherever the enemy spawn is. I just want to know if the term has evolved to mean that because when teammates call it out I spend a good couple of seconds trying to figure out if they mean the actual defender spawn area or the general enemy spawn area (like when we’re the defenders). If it helps I usually play at HK servers. submitted by /u/palefractures [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

It's so frustrating to play Valorant as a newbie (less than a week) Getting killed LITERALLY 0.5 SECONDS upon seeing another player really kept my spirits low. Lurking on this sub showed me that I am not alone in this. Followed comments on other posts: -practicing my pre aim -minding my left hand while shooting (mindlessly pressing W as a reflex) -A & D should be used when encountering other players -play A LOT of deathmatch From 3 kills on deathmatch to a minimum of 18-30 kills per match is such a morale boost for me. So thank you to this sub, don't stop commenting and helping other play ..read more

I just recently started playing val with some friends, and then got hooked, and have a 50~ winrate, fav agent is definitely clove, they just click with me. There's just a couple things i need to know, i usually either carry my team with kills or I try and peak something and get instakilled the whole game and throw. I'm lvl 22 so i've played a bit. Now that I got that context out of the way, I just want to know what are some good resources for intermediate~ish level stuff. Like I know the basics of smoking, holding an angle and all that stuff, but I want the more in depth stuff like going ov ..read more

Unfair rankings

I am not high enough level to play ranked. I am level 16, first account just started. I am playing in unrated against people that are gold+. How is this fair? I get absolutely destroyed in every game and it's not even against smurfs, it's horrible matchmaking. How am I supposed to enjoy a game that I go 0 / 16? And this "get good" is quite hard when I can't do anything. I die before I can shoot, I don't have every map and angle memorized and I can't when I die before seeing anyone. What do I have to do to play against people as horrible as I am? submitted by /u/TheRealCheesyBeaver [visit red ..read more
