Not trying to spam! Simply keeping tabs on these guys for yall if any are interested! The pair of Hujeta Gar are skirting along 6in each now! Luke and Leia are getting big, and they have two new school mates in a 20gal long grow out tank, they're just too small to even try to introduce now otherwise they'd be eaten no hesitation, hopefully Theodor and Roosevelt will be big enough to join luke and leia in a few months

My last post was taken down assuming I was talking about fishing. This is for a research project and couldn't find much information on herbivorous fish other than grass carp. Please don't take this down again not fishing! Just want to know if you guys know of any vegetarian fish I can use for this project.

Found on the beach in Santa Cruz, CA this morning. Is this the frontal crest of a mahi mahi?first two photos are what I found. Others are from the internet of mahi skulls
For scale: that little rust spot on the first pic is from a standard razor blade.

Those who keeps barbs, how long do your fish usually live for? I have a barb tank and recently have had two of my og fish from when i set the tank up two to three years ago pass away. They were healthy from what i could tell and my water is kept to ideal conditions. I am just curious on their tank lifespan.
