I'm looking to get into IGP, and am also looking for a dog that is ideally on the medium to smaller side of standard to potentially ski with. I would prefer a dog with a good off-switch, little to no handler aggression, and overall a good first-time German Shepherd for a not-super experienced handler ..read more

I’m hoping to get some advice on finding a GSD as a companion for myself, and my 7 year old Goldendoodle. I’ve always admired the beauty and confidence of the GSD, and now that I’ve owned two dogs and have 8 acres of property, I think I’m finally ready. I’m 45, extremely active, and only work from home part time. I’ve looked at two local breeders via the Internet, and I am confident that one of them is a backyard breeder. After realizing that I was almost taken advantage of by one... Seeking reputable white GSD ..read more

Looking for a reputable breeder in southeastern pennsylvania . We lost our sweet boy at 11 and all of our dogs have come from a breeder who has retired. Family oriented and bigger boned GSD’s are the preference. Don’t need working lines. This pup will be family. Open to an adolescent or young dog as well. Tempermant and health over anything else. Hi all! I'm looking for a white german shepherd and think I found one I like. The breeder seems to be good to go but there are a couple of yellow flags based on all of my reading. She's a full time breeder, it's her and her daughters. I talked to her on the phone for about 30 min and she was very nice and seemed to care about the puppies. They are AKC but she doesn't get hip and elbow certs for the puppies but has them for the parents. She offers a 1 year health guarantee and does a 30... Hello, I'm starting to look into getting my first GSD. I'm looking for a family companion and personal sidekick who will come to work with me everyday, protect me in my home, and accompany/protect me when I go for an after dark jog. So I'm looking for a dog who has a stable, easy going temperament (probably on the mellower side of the GSD spectrum), easy to train, low prey drive (we've got kitties and other small critters), and protective. I want a GSD because I've been in love with the... Anyone have experience with Stonehill Kennels ..read more

Hello, I am considering quellwasser as a breeder for my next dog, but I am having trouble finding any reviews of this breeder on any forums I am active on. Does anyone have any insight? Everything seems good to me, but their website isn't working and I just want to be cautious. I of course plan on asking questions of the breeder, but I like to get some insight from others as well. Thank you in advance ..read more

We lost Zore recently after about 12.5 years. In the meantime, the house has been quiet and lonely. But now after some detailed searching for what would be our last GSD ( were both 71) we picked Kaiser German Shepherds a bit NW of the DFW area. Were going with a female this time. Terrie is extremely knowledgeable and kind. Cant wait until about the first week of June. Pictured is the mated couple with our Filina ..read more

Hi everyone, I'm new here, but I've been lurking in these forums for a long time. I'm not new to the breed per se, but I am jumping back in after almost a decade away from the dog world. My former German Shepherd was my first, a rescue, and in working with the breed in close quarters I fell in love. We had a real bond, one that I have never replicated with any of my other dogs in my life, and I have had many. I still miss him. Unfortunately, he passed away young, but I told myself I would...
