Collecting my MYLR tomorrow. Got my pre collection text message there. They aim to give me 50-80 miles of charge on collection. That won't get me home ? Disappointed is an understatement when your paying 54k for a car. submitted by /u/KyroOG [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Returned leased Mode Y to Tesla and it just sits there for a week with no updates.

Last week I returned my leased Model Y to Tesla. Signed Odometer Disclosure Agreement and left the car on the lot. They told me they will remove it from my account in 1 day. But it just sits there for a week. They never actually even went to check the car. I still have it on my account. I still see battery is going down day by day. My return status in the app shows incomplete. I still get billed, etc. I sent a few emails to billing and lease return departments, but no response. I just bough another Model Y with diff. specs and whole experience was bad as well. It looks like Tesla is criticall ..read more

Does anyone still use dashcam? If so, any recommendations?

I know Tesla does recording all around but there is no internal facing camera recorded and also it is not always on for the outside. It does save the last 10minutes when honked or collision detected but not during pullovers or any other situation. Is there a way around this? Does anyone still have use a dashcam separately? If so, which one would you recommend? submitted by /u/InterscholasticPea [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I wanna buy the cheapest used Model 3

Ok maybe not the absolute cheapest; but I'm talking about a cheap early (2018-19?) higher mileage one. Story time (Skip if you don't care): I have a long commute, 200km/day round trip. To save on gas, we bought a '18 Nissan LEAF. I can charge at work, but so many people got EVs that a charging spot isn't guaranteed. And we loved the EV experience so much we grabbed a brand new '23 MY last year. No more ICE car, the Y is our family car and road trip car. But now I wanna trade the LEAF in for a Model 3. I always preferred the 3 to the Y, smaller, lower to the ground. But the Y made more sense f ..read more

I want the tax credit but don’t want the included color. Choosing a different color excludes you from the credit. submitted by /u/liveoakenforest [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Bought wider tires—very happy with them!

My M3S needed new tires last week. Factory tires are 235/45/18 and Tesla seems to use a narrower tire than what the wheel will accommodate (guessing that’s to reduce contact area and make range better). Anyway, I went with a 245/45/18 instead and that makes the tires stick out ever so slightly past the wheel, which is great because my wife has put a couple small scrapes of curb rash on the wheels in the past and this will definitely make that harder to do. The tires are Michelin CrossClimate 2 and I really like the tread pattern as well. I can still do lock-to-lock turns without any rubb ..read more

Some folks have asked whether or not the ESA is "worth it", and the reality is that it's a safety net, but I wanted to take a moment and share my experience with it. I have a 2019 Model 3 SR+ with 29,999mi on it. When I got it it had the old AP2.5 computer in it, and I bought FSD and had it upgraded to the FSD computer a few months after purchase. The ESA for a Model 3 is $1,800, and after taxes it was closer to $2,000. When you use the newer ESA there's a $100 deductible. The older ones for the Legacy S/X had a $200 deductible. The car developed a couple issues. The glove box flopped down, w ..read more

Self Driving Hardware Upgrades 3+

I know Tesla offered free HW upgrades with the purchase of FSD on HW2.0 and HW2.5 but does anyone have a sense on what might happen with those of us with HW3/4 upgrading to 5+ (that was just announced)? My guess is that a later HW version will be necessary if they ever launch robotaxi services and those will probably not be included in FSD and cost extra. Maybe signing up for that service will prompt a free upgrade or perhaps no. I wonder if there will be features of FSD that will not be available for older HW that will not prompt a free upgrade. submitted by /u/Just-Construction788 [visit r ..read more
