I have a 95 4runner SR5 V6 Automatic 4X4 3.0, I had the transmission rebuilt and everything was great I got around 300+ Miles on a full tank of gas and had lots of power and could burn rubber by stomping on the gas, then I rear ended a mini van doing about 30mph and I replaced the bumper/grill and radiator/fan, my push bumper really helped reduce the damage, but ever since that accident I have lost a huge amount of power and not only that I now only get 130-150 miles to a full tank of gas... why is my 4runner burning so much gas ..read more

Hello everyone, Ok, here is the problem. We have a 1995 4Runner. The car starts up just fine and runs great except one small problem. When you shut the car off to take out the keys, you CANNOT take the keys out. The only way the keys can be removed is by DISCONNECTING the BATTERY. So I gotta park, open the hood, disconnect one terminal from the battery then take the keys out of the ignition, plug the terminal back into the battery and finally close the hood and lock up. I donwloaded the trd part catalog and didnt see a supercharger for a 2006 4runner. I know that people are running them, are they using the ones for the tundra 4.7 v8? I didnt even see a supercharger for the tundra v8. Whats up with that? I also heard or read that toyota does not install trd superchargers on the vvti v8 because of weak connecting rods, and will not warrenty the engine if there is damage caused by the supercharger.
