Tried to run my newly acquired 2006 ski doo mxz x 600 SDI yesterday. It has not been run for several years. So I drained gas and put fresh gas in it. Started it up but when I accelerated, it backfired and stalled. It started up right, but when accelerating it backfired and would not run right. Today I read the manual and let it idle for 4 minutes before I got on and accelerated. Believe it or not it ran OK. I have a 2003 Skidoo mxz rev 600 ho that I got about a year ago. I got it running super well but the tether needed to be reprogrammed so I took it to a shop to get the chip programmed. They called me the next day saying when they started it it was leaking gas everywhere on their table. I got a 99’ skidoo 600 summit, knowing that the dess did not work very well. However when I purchased the sled, it drove and did not hit the rev limiter. After I got it home, I never got the dess to work. So I got a new post and keys for it at the dealer, hoping that it would solve the problem.
