The Green finalized their three-team deal with the Washington Wizards and Memphis Grizzlies. The Warriors made a splash trade Thursday in an effort to maximize their championship window.
Golden State agreed to trade Jordan Poole, a protected 2030 first-round pick and a 2027 second-round pick to the Washington Wizards for Chris Paul, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and The Athletic’s Shams Charania. Paul was part of the Bradley Beal trade with the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.

However, Kristaps Porzingis’ reaction to Wednesday’s reported blockbuster trade might help turn those frowns upside down.

The Celtics acquired Porzingis in a three-team deal with the Washington Wizards and Memphis Grizzlies, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The Boston Celtics reportedly are “closing in” on a trade to acquire Kristaps Porzingis from the Washington Wizards in a three-team deal that would also include the Los Angeles Clippers.
Porzingis, who has until Wednesday night to opt-in to his $36 million player option for the 2023-24 campaign, was set to become a free agent next summer if he accepted the player option.
