My 98 is due for pistons, I am pretty sure they are out of spec.
I understand the newer models have different port timing on the cylinders, what is different on the pistons ?
Could I get a little more HP running a different piston ?

Just picked up a phazer deluxe yesterday for $500. Guy said it lost spark and they parked it, never got to fixing it. Minor fading to the red paint that I promptly buffed right up (shiny is kind of my thing )
Looking for tips on where to start with the no spark issue. Has 150 psi in each cylinder. 2300 miles, overall in pretty decent shape. Excited to get it ready for my daughter for next season ..read more

Seems to be the endless debate - does anyone with a lot of experience want to advise one method or the other?
I usually have been leaving the fuel in with stabilizer and running the sled every 2 months... but had my main jet plug up with this method when I didn't start it for 3 or 4 months at a time. I have a 2000 Venture 600 for reference.
This year wondering if I should just run it dry... but then would it be worth trying to get to the carbs to drain the bowls ..read more
