Looking for help determining which drivers I should buy to replace my stock 2008 MTX drivers, which have mushroomed and deformed. The drivers need to be up to the task of handling an MCX turbo kit on the 2.5 camoplast extreme track.
On avid's website it seems I'm looking at the 1 1/16" hex driver, but they 8 tooth and 3.0 pitch is sold out. Is it ok to do 9 tooth and 2.86 as comparable to stock 8t and 3.0?
Alternatively I see Barn of Parts sells Wahl drivers; are these capable of...

Sled has a little over 10,000 KMS on it, about 9000 of them boosted. This is a total loss engine. No sign of detonation on the plugs, but the motor went down at part throttle - cruising about 40MPH.
This is probably the 'highest miles' Apex engine that I've opened up. The remaining 3 pistons are all cracked across the saddle and were (each) an imminent failure.
Has anyone else opened up one of these higher mile boosted engines and seen...

Hoping somebody is alive here this Spring
My 2006 VKPro is starting to ratchet under heavy load, i.e. pulling my big drag. I increased track tension and it still ratchets, I am now wondering if the driveaxle brg may be on the way out. Has anybody encountered this on their machine ..read more

I bought this sled without knowing very much about it. I rode it once this winter for maybe 10 miles. The belt was making some squealing a little so figured the belt was a little loose. I took it apart today and it did seem a little loose and the pulleys look a little worn. I have the SC install manual but it really doesnt do a good job explaining how tight the tension should be. Ive worked on stuff my whole life and can pretty much feel how much tension most cars belts should have but I...

Arctic Cat now sells Vespel Slides for $120/pair. Part # 440-09105
Are these better than the Dupont slides we've been using for years at $175/pair? Part # SMA-8JPDP-SS-00
Is there a reason to NOT go with ones from cat that are cheaper?
It appears the inserts in the Cat slides are at a 60 degree angle vs the Yamaha DuPont's, which are at a 45 degree angle. It would appear there are less inserts if they are at 60 degrees? Has anyone counted or compared the difference?
Which will be...

So last march I had the opportunity to purchase an insurance wrote off 2018 BTX. This would be my third sidewinder as I currently had a 2017 MTX162" and a 2019 SRX both are td multi map tuned and a LONG list of aftermarket parts on both. To properly premise this post and credit TD both sleds have ran flawlessly and dead reliable but for this one I wanted something different and something that had more capacity to be user tuned . I contacted MCX and decided to go with their stage 4 kit with...
