I have a 21 duramax 1500 3.0. What upgrades could I also do to my truck to make it run better. I have a 6in rough county lift on it installed.

Would be a second vehicle and would not tow anything. Worst case would be a couple motorcycles in the bed. What am I not aware of that would make this not a smart move?

Had the valve body replaced on my 22 silverado last may. On the way home from Work today low engine power on the dash followed by check engine light of course. Then noticed it shifting ruff feeling weak. Trying to get it to a transmission shop.

I’ve been a Silverado/Sierra owner since I started driving in 2004. I’ve had a 1997, 2002, 2005, 2008, 2012, 2017, 2022 and now a 2024. The 2005, 2012 and my 2024 were/are 2500HDs. I’ve also had Ford Superduties for work trucks since 2008, either F450’s or F550’s.
I’ve never been in a wreck other than getting rear ended in a work truck in 2010 by a guy having a medical emergency. But I’ve owned my 2024 2500HD for like 3 weeks and have had more close calls with other drivers than I’ve ever had in my entire life behind the wheel of a vehicle. It’s like I have a target painted on the side of my ..read more

I ended up going with the 2020 Silverado RST with a 5.3L V8 engine 59k miles for 30k. I know I definitely want to add running board and then give it a 2-4” lift or potentially just level it. The headlights are honestly pretty shit too, but anything else I should look into?

Looking at the 2024 Silverado 1500 custom. Seeing the basic custom for $43k and the Trail Boss for $51k. Is the $8k worth the difference? How much $ is a decent aftermarket 2 inch lift on these trucks?
Other difference is the trailboss is the 3.0 and basic custom has the 2.7. My primary use would be camping and off roading - no trailering.
Thanks!

2016 Silverado 108k a couple months ago I had a situation where the radiator fan was just going full blast soon as I turned the truck on and would keep going for about 10 Minutes after I shut it off. This happened 3 or 4 times sometimes the check engine light would go on other times not. This hasn’t happened in months but today I tested the AC and it’s just blowing hot air. I’m guessing I have some kind of problem with the thermostat. Does anyone have an idea what I’m looking at specifically?

2018 Silverado. So I’m starting to have a “howling” / “grinding” feeling at 45mph+. At 80 / 85 it can get quite loud. I don’t feel a shake but I feel it in the floor underneath the drivers seat. Figured out it’s not the tires. Everything else I’ve read has suggested it could be wheel hub / bearing. Anybody else experience this?
