Get the simple ‘list clean’ email sequence that doubles as a successful sales campaign. A few months ago, I signed up to receive emails from a company that teaches classes on speaking Spanish. Fun fact: I have a degree in Spanish! I even lived in Mexico and worked as a translator in my 20s. But these days? My Spanish is rusty. I don’t get to speak or read in Spanish as often as I’d like anymore, but I don’t want to lose this skill. It’s always on my list of goals to get into some Spanish-speaking class or opportunity so I don’t lose this language completely. So … I signed up to learn more abou ..read more

(FREE EMAIL TEMPLATE!) Hello hello! Today I want to share with you my framework for writing the ultimate email to deliver your lead magnet. Quick caveat:  If you don’t know, a lead magnet is something you give to your subscribers FOR FREE in exchange for their email address. A free masterclass, webinar, private podcast series, etc. But, of course, there are always exceptions to this “rule ..read more

Hey everyone! On March 3, 2020, I left my job as a magazine editor to take my copywriting business full-time. Smiling because I was making enough as a copywriter to leave my magazine job and work for myself! I had just announced this pivot on Facebook.  Less than two weeks later, I lost all of my copywriting projects overnight. All of my clients at the time were all were brick and mortar businesses that were hit particularly hard by the pandemic. I was devastated. I decided to quit. I even looked at programs to go back to school for nursing or teaching.  Then, later that week, I rece ..read more

What if you treated your sales page like it was a gift for your reader? There’s a flow to your sales page, of course. Messaging matters, yes. Talk about the benefits.  Sell the promise.  Yes and yes.  But more than anything Your sales page has to be something your future clients want to read. And if you don’t love creating it or talking about it? Nobody will love reading it. That’s just physics or the law of the universe or whatever:). This month, I am writing two sales pages and finishing up edits on another.  Yesterday, I found myself just grinding it out at my desk.  ..read more

The biggest mistake coaches make when it comes to email marketing is – Doing it out of fear or obligation. Literally, everyone will tell you how important email marketing is. You own your list! More people see your emails! This might be true. But, when you write emails from a place of: “FUCK! Email is one more thing I *have to do*!” You won’t send great emails. And you won’t be consistent with emailing your list. My advice? 1 – Be patient with yourself You can do this. You don’t have to get high opens & clicks all the time. No one does. Your emails do not have to be perfect. They’ll get be ..read more

We became parents at 23. I saved and saved and *saved* my PTO throughout my first pregnancy. I filled out all the paperwork for unpaid extra time off. I was so excited to have 12 weeks of maternity leave when my daughter was born. But when I had to go back to work & take her to daycare, I just couldn’t. Aaron said, “We’ll figure this out.” We sold our house and moved back to our hometown. This was not the plan. But it’s how we could afford for me to stay home with our daughter. We had two more daughters. Three of them in less than four years. I still can’t beli ..read more
