Have to give Atlanta props for the huge balls they showed on that Penix pick. Lo

I'm surprised he went in the 1st. He's already 24 so one would think that'll give him a low ceiling.
I think the Bills are in the mix for a vet WR. Hope they don't land Higgins.

We got a late 4th and 5th to move from 10. No way would we have got a 2nd or 3rd for the 11th pick. It would have been the same deal we got from Minnesota
He was saying when we were still at 10.
All I know… the trade was a no brainer. Free picks. Insanely minor, but we even save a few dollars by moving down one more spot. And all to get the guy we would have picked at 10.
Agreed. But still. We didn’t wait until the very final Minute to see if some silly offer comes in. That’s stupid. No matter how you spin it. No down side!

We have to trust the consensus and he was top OL consensus pick. It’s not like we got cute and tried to outsmart everyone. I just wish we had waited longer to trade back with broncos or Colts and get him still (or another top rated OL) and ad another 3rd or possibly 2nd. But whatever

But hopefully, he can develop for a year behind one of the best to ever do it. He needs to get a little stronger. So let him put in 10-15 pounds by week 1 of 2025 and bring him along slowly. But he should also be able to fill in if we need
I’m just not a fan of trading down and getting so little. Even if it was essentially free picks.
