According to the latest findings from The ProCopywriters 2024 Survey, 81% of copywriters are NOT making their clients aware of the fact that they use AI in their work... Let alone how they use it or how they're protecting their client's data and privacy in the process... ? This statistic terrifies me in 2 very specific ways: 1. It tells me that a majority of copywriters feel like using AI in any way is cheating (it's not). 2. It tells me that a majority of copywriters are using their client's information in a way they might not like, approve of, or (importantly) consent to. I am firmly in the ..read more

Choice Words Blog
by

Can Motion REALLY live up to the hype?! For about a year now, I've been bombarded with social media ads for this AI assistant tool: Motion. Maybe you have too?   Motion claims to automatically plan your day for you based on your priorities, availability and tasks, dynamically optimising your schedule dozens of times a day, automatically, to adjust for changes like moved meetings and shifting priorities. And the ads make wild promises like: ?? "Increase your productivity by 137%!" I KNOW. I was skeptical too. But I decided to give Motion a try, because I have ADHD, a to ..read more

For me, or my clients! That's why for 2024, I'm excited to introduce my new working method: The One-Client-At-A-Time Approach. (I know, not a jazzy name, but it does what it says on the tin!) This approach is rooted in the principle of focused work and Parkinson's Law (work expands to fill the time you have to do it!). By dedicating a two-week period exclusively to one client and their project(s), I can offer t ..read more

The Secret to Getting Paid to Write? Just START. ? You’ve probably heard the adage: every journey begins with a single step. In the world of writing, that step is the act of starting. You might have a whirlwind of thoughts, grand plans, or even an entire epic tucked away in the recesses of your mind. Will Copywriting Be Replaced by ChatGPT?
Choice Words Blog
by

AI won’t replace you. Someone using AI will. In 1997, IBM's Deep Blue, an artificial intelligence (AI) machine, defeated world chess champion Garry Kasparov, ushering in a new age of AI. But that’s not the end of the story because shortly after, a new victor emerged: Deep Blue working with Garry Kasparov. Working together, the man and the machine became more than the sum of their parts. Just like in chess, where AI can calculate countless potential moves and strategies within seconds, it takes a human to introduce the unpredictable, read the opponent, and bring creativity into play.
