I’ve had my 2024 Forte GT for just over a month. It has 1100 miles on it. Since it was new, it has a rough idle during every cold start. It starts normally, runs smoothly during the initial “warm up”, but as it idles itself down it begins to sputter for several seconds before settling back into a smooth idle at around 900 rpms. It’s almost like it’s starving for fuel during those 4-5 seconds. This only happens on a true cold start first thing in the morning. And no CEL or other warnings. Hands down the big mouth was the easiest install ever. I’d say it took me around 20 mins. I’m not tuned so I wasn’t expecting any power difference, I mainly did it for looks. I also picked up a set of Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s and let me tell you they make a hell of a difference. Way stickier than the stock ps4’s. They reduced the wheel hop from a dig significantly. (Btw my suspension and bushings are all factory still.) Got bored today so I decided to unbolt my midpipe from the stock downpipe. I’m 19 so as a teen I tend to like cars obnoxiously loud but this was just so unbearable.
