I do not really know at what year is considered vintage, but I am looking to add to my PC collection. Show me what Steve Avery cards you have. I probably have them all, but you never know. I have about 400 now and missing about 200. Looking to trade if I can but might buy as well if they deal is there. Obviously, I know what these are worth, so I am not going to trade something high dollar for them.  Before you ask, yes, I am new to Beckett, but I have been on TCDB for a while under the same username with 100% positive reviews ..read more

What's more valuable in terms of current saleability? A complete sealed Colorado Rockies edition 1993 Topps Series I & 2 box -or- the cards inside (assuming the Derek Jeter gets graded atleast a 9)? How does that change if the Jeter is graded 9.5 or even 10? I've been researching this and the value seems to fluctuate wildly so I'm just looking for opinions from those with more experience than I have. Thank you ..read more

Hey everyone- I'm cleaning out my old collection, cataloging it, trying to organize and sell off most to people who'd appreciate them more.   In doing so, I came across a 1978 Dale Murphy/Lance Parrish RC. Here's the kicker - there's no printing on the back, it's blank. I've searched and searched the net and can't find anything about it. Has anyone seen one or know of another? Any help on this appreciated.   IMG_3897.jpg (Size: 326.18 KB / Downloads: 0)   IMG_3896.jpg (Size: 352.18 KB / Downloads: 0 ..read more

I’m looking for 2 (Two!) Gregg Zaun NNO mini cards (to get autographed!) as well as two 10th Anniversary issues. I’m also looking for 2 of the 4 printing plates. I have the Cyan & Black, and I know the Yellow is out there because I missed it on eBay once. And there’s supposedly a 1/1 wood panel card. There must be some 2007 hoarders here somewhere! I also collect Jose Bautista, Roberto Alomar and Fergie Jenkins, if anyone has anything they want to move ..read more

"Lingo" Questions

Hello all -  First post  I have been trying to read up a lot on collecting, etc. - and there are a few things that I can't really grasp. I've figured out "raw" is "un-graded", but there are some other words and phrases, like what is an "auto card"? Or a base card?  Of course now I can't remember all the words I've come across. But, I honestly can't figure out some of the word meanings - would anyone please help me out a little? Maybe fill me in on some common ones and what they mean? I'd really appreciate it!  Thanks from the newbie  ..read more

My question pertains to the Asterisk/Star on the back, left of the TCG(copyright). I have both variations, but I've never seen them encased as variations. 1. Is there any info on the web about these? 2. Are there any encased, and has anyone seen them? 3. Would PSA/SGC/BVG grade them as variations? Any information is greatly appreciated ..read more

Hi - I'm going through my 1966 Topps cards and I noticed two cards have a much glossier front, they are card #'s 230 - Johnny Callison and # 238 - Dodgers Team Card. Did Topps make any variations in 1966 where cards had a glossier front?  It's very noticeable on these two cards ..read more
