The New York Jets are hopeful of making a run back to the playoffs in 2024. After that, they want to make a deep run in the playoffs.
Aaron Rodgers is back on the field after a torn Achilles ended his 2023 season on the first offensive drive of the year. He will have a large hand in what kind of season the Jets actually end up having.
However, the roster around him will need to step up as well. New York is loaded with talent on both sides of the ball. There are no excuses left for poor play.
While there are a lot of talented players expected to give big production in 2024, there are also playe ..read more

During mandatory minicamp, this is a team for the New York Jets to get everyone on the same page when it comes to how they want to operate on both sides of the ball.
With Aaron Rodgers missing, that might be hard for the offense despite his perfect attendance record during OTAs.
The defense is also missing a high-profile player as offseason trade acquisition Haason Reddick has still not reported to the Jets and seems to be holding out until a new contract gets worked out.
Head coach Robert Saleh said they are going to focus on the players who are there, and with the absence of Reddick, that gi ..read more

There was no outrage, and not even the slightest sign of resentment could be heard in his voice.
New York Jets' running back Breece Hall is evidently ignoring the outside noise about quarterback Aaron Rodgers's absence from mandatory minicamp, sounding the least bit concerned when addressing reporters after Tuesday's practice in Florham Park.
"I wasn't going to be surprised not to see him, wasn't going to be surprised to see him," said Hall.
The 40-year-old Rodgers, a four-time NFL MVP, chose to pass on minicamp in order to be somewhere else this week. Jets' head coach Robert Saleh called it ..read more

The New York Jets made quite a few moves during the NFL offseason. From acquiring more offensive line help, to signing wide receiver Mike Williams, to adding more to the defense, the front office was very aggressive.
However, there is one move that flew relatively under-the-radar that was extremely important as well.
Tyrod Taylor was signed by the Jets to be Aaron Rodgers' backup. After suffering through a brutal season of quarterback play following Rodgers' torn Achilles, New York knew they needed to set themselves up much better in case of another devastating setback.

New York Jets' head coach Robert Saleh portrayed it as a non-issue on Wednesday morning.
With the Jets hosting a mandatory minicamp in Florham Park, starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers is absent for the second straight day as expected.
"No, I haven't [spoken to him since yesterday's announcement]," said Saleh.
Saleh, who has known about his field general's unavailability for several weeks, refused to criticize the four-time NFL MVP's decision to forego this week's team activities.
"Aaron and I are on the exact same page. There's no issue between Aaron or his teammates for that matter. It's more ..read more

The New York Jets are looking to have one of their best seasons in franchise history this year. With a decade full of disappointments, the expectation and hope within the fan base is that it finally changes.
With a healthy Aaron Rodgers, anything is possible. Rodgers will need to be the same quarterback he was prior to this Achilles injury so that the Jets can be the team they're looking to be, which is a warranted concern for some.
Other additions this offseason should only make the offense better. Possessing arguably the worst offense in football last season, it truly can't get much worse.

New York Jets' head coach Robert Saleh expects the right side of the offensive line to be ready for practice once training camp kicks off in July, but the team's prized free agent wide receiver is on a different recovery timeline.
Addressing reporters prior to the start of mandatory minicamp practice in Florham Park, Saleh provided updates on three probable offensive starters who are all coming off serious surgeries.
Homegrown talent Alijah Vera-Tucker, who suffered a torn Achilles last October, is the likely starter at right guard. Morgan Moses, who returned to the Jets, via trade, after spen ..read more

New York Jets’ running back Breece Hall eased any injury concerns in the air on Tuesday in Florham Park.
In a minicamp practice that was open to invited media, the Jets’ RB1 was reportedly working out on the side due to what head coach Robert Saleh referred to as "some lower half stuff but nothing that we're concerned about” last week.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday morning, Saleh revealed that Hall would not take any practice reps.
“No, there's no point,” said Saleh, answering a question on Hall’s anticipated participation level. “He could. If this was game week, he would roll, but there's ..read more
