The Uber app tried to put drivers through the woods instead of on the correct street when dropping me at my house. The pin is in the right location but I live so far in the woods the map thinks it’s easier to drives through tree via an inaccessible path. Is there support line or contact that can help fix it. My son is at college and instead of paying for the outrageously expensive car insurance for an 18 year old boy, we told him to just take ubers. He has most of his needs met on campus, with a big grocery store across the road, so not a lot of need for a car, so ubers should work in a pinch. So I pick up this woman in downtown Chicago, she was young about her mid-20s and was coming from a restaurant. I noticed where I'm taking her which is way on the south side of Chicago in the Englewood neighborhood. If you're not from Chicago it's one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the entire city and it's by and far the ghetto. I recently left my airpods in an uber, and sent a lost item request 16 hours ago now with no response. Uber won’t let me contact the driver again, since I’ve called him twice and now I’m helpless. He’s driving around in the area where he’s dropped me off, and was literally walking distance from my drop-off. He could easily return it, but is choosing not to answer. I took an Uber last weekend. I am in California, but the driver was obviously not from here as he had a heavy southern accent. When I got out, he asked me if I would give him 5 stars. I said yes, and he said he would give me 5 stars too. Then he said that he always gives 1 star to all the "blacks and Mexicans". I was kind of in shock and just got out and left. About a year ago I wrote about the things I learned about becoming a better rider after I drove for Uber for about six months. I hardly EVER ride with Uber.
