A week after the earthquake hit the Atlas Mountains and parts of Marrakech’s Medina, life in the cities is getting back to normal. People and local officials are working hard to help those affected. Everyone here is coming together. Moroccans are strong and hopeful. Many areas still need tourists. In 2019, before the pandemic, tourism made up 12% of Morocco’s money. The Moroccan authorities have announced a resumption of air links from February 7, 2022. Entry into Moroccan territory is subject to the obligation to present: – A valid vaccination pass Or – A negative result of a PCR test less than 72 hours before boarding the plane (for travellers who are not vaccinated or do not have a complete vaccination schedule). and A passenger health form, to be downloaded online before boarding (also distributed on board), duly completed. The best time to visit Morocco is during spring (mid-March to May) or autumn (September to October). The weather is warm but pleasant. The winters can be very cold with snow in the mountains. The summers can be very hot. The coastal regions can be visited year-round. In the winter they are pleasantly mild, while in the summer temperatures can be around the mid-20°Cs. Starting from February 7, 2022, international flights to Morocco will be allowed to start. Travelers, under certain conditions, will have access to Moroccan territory.
