Posted this in other discussion so hope that is OK.  Hello new member here. I took my '08 Sorento in for state insp in Hou Texas. Dealer maintained for 110,000 trouble free miles. I had noticed extra brake pedal travel and asked the service mgr who I know, to check.  He said one of two brake master cylinder servo units . may have failed. first fix is 2,000.00. If that doesn't fix the travel issue, the other part change is almost 3,000.00 more for a total of close to 5,000.00.  I cannot find another SUV that I know has run perfectly for $5K.  Which by the way is bo ..read more

Hi all, I have a 2005, Sorento V6 BL with a 5 speed triptronic auto...approx' 170,000klms on clock. I am experiencing a judder/hesitation in 1st gear from stop and then at 70 to 80 kph (5th gear) when I try to shift down...car judders/hesitates for 3 seconds then it takes off. Otherwise driving is a pleasure with smooth auto changes. It has the 2005 5 speed triptronic transmission. just purchased a used 2022 sorento lx. 40,000 miles... A formal rental..rolled the dice again....purchased a 16 versa cvt the same way..still rolling at 190,000 miles. Had for about 1 month, wife started it and it quickly died.strong smell of burning electrics in the cabin and engine bay..smelled expensive.   No spark as far as i can tell.  Crank no start......Kia dealer sez 3 weeks until they can diagnose  gonna give my old school mechanic first try in a few days..then a mobile pro mechanic..then its dealer time. i will update   getting old and purchased the car ..read more

Hi all.  1st timer here.  Does anyone know when Kia plans to start building the MY24 New model? There is chatter online that the new 2024 Model will arrive (in Australia at least) in the 2nd half of 2023. Not sure how true this is but I'd love to ask fellow members if anyone know for sure what is planned fro the new model.
