I have a 2017 Kia Sorento. Recently, the airbag warning light has come on and stayed on. I looked on youtube about possible fixes, but none worked. Took it to my local mechanic and he informed me its probably some sort of control board & this is something that needs to be taken to the dealer since its too much for him. As I suspected, he also said until its fixed, the airbags won't work at all in any kind of collision situation. just purchased a used 2022 sorento lx. 40,000 miles... A formal rental..rolled the dice again....purchased a 16 versa cvt the same way..still rolling at 190,000 miles. Had for about 1 month, wife started it and it quickly died.strong smell of burning electrics in the cabin and engine bay..smelled expensive.? No spark as far as i can tell. Hi, My kia sorento 2011 has been having problems. I have taken it to the mechanic a few times each time they say nothing is wrong. It wont shut off the right way. Its push button. When you turn it off the engine turns off but the dash stays on. The indicator that looks like a car with a key shape in it comes on. And it beeps, sometimes after a few minutes it will go off and then the dash lights will go off if you push the button again. We have a 2017 Kia Sorento; 4cyl, front wheel drive with a 5000lb rated hitch. We are looking to use it tow a 4X8 or 5X8 Uhaul trailer to help a family member move from Atlanta to St Louis (approx 500+ miles). Uhaul claims we can haul between 1600-1800lbs.
