In the United States, what are some rights the employees have around employer sponsored green card ? Some specific questions - 1. Does the employee have the right to ask the employer hired attorneys handling their case for updates regarding the process ? 2. Can they ask questions concerning their immigration? 3. Given the time sensitive nature of such cases, can they ask to expedite the process if they feel time is running out? 4. Can the employer deliberately cut communication between attorney and employee and insist all communication goes through the HR ? 5. Can the employer deliberately wi ..read more

So I moved to US on an H1B.I got married 6 years before moving to the US and divorced 2 years before moving to the US (all done in my home country). Now I am on the EB2 process for green card. The next step seems to be to fill I-485. They ask about previous marriages. Now two questions: If I disclose I was previously married and divorced ... do I need to provide the certificates? I can get them, it will just take time. Now that I think back, when applying to H1B, and filling the DS160 forms, I think I mentioned I was single (which is true ... I can't recall if they had an option to choose di ..read more

I am an airline pilot, and I am applying for EB2 NIW. My family consists of my wife and son. I have several questions regarding green cards and citizenship: Since I have a good income from my job in my home country, I personally do not wish to work in the United States. How can I keep my U.S. green card valid? Is it sufficient to visit the United States once every six months? Are there any requirements for the length of each stay? However, my wife and child will be living in the United States. After they obtain green cards and fulfill the residency requirements for five years, will my decisi ..read more

PWD Work address

Hello folks My PERM PWD was approved last July with my primary office address. I am approaching the 6 years of my H-1b and the employer is filing for 1 Year extension since my PERM would be pending for over a year. Now they are wanting to add multiple job locations in my LCA since I moved to a different MPS and also work from home. So in total they want to list 3 locations in H-1B LCA. I am not sure if this has any effect on the PWD or PERM. They say H-1B extension have no bearing on the GC process. Any input would be appreciated submitted by /u/Final_Opportunity756 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
